Before this was a guide, a website, or a brand… I was just a bride trying to figure out how the hell to plan a wedding in Italy from Australia.

I’m Elisa, Italian by blood, Australian by postcode, which meant I understood the language, the culture, and the very Italian way things get done… but I was still planning from the other side of the world.

I planned my own wedding in Trapani, Sicily — navigating paperwork, vendors, time zones, and those moments where you’re not sure if something is normal Italian behaviour or quietly chaotic. (Spoiler: sometimes it’s both.)

What I realised very quickly is this: Most of the stress doesn’t come from Italy itself, it comes from not understanding how Italy works.

That’s where I come in.
