I’ve been exactly where you are -engaged, excited, and slightly overwhelmed.
Before Italy Wedding Guide was a guide, a website, or a business, I was simply a bride trying to plan a wedding in Italy from abroad.
I'm Elisa, half Italian, half German, living in Australia, which meant I understood the language, the culture, and the wonderfully Italian way things get done. But I was still navigating the experience from the other side of the world.
When my husband and I planned our wedding in Trapani, Sicily, we quickly realised that planning from abroad comes with its own challenges. Time zones, paperwork, budgets, guest travel, choosing suppliers, and hundreds of little decisions that are hard to make when you're not there in person.
The biggest lesson?
Planning a wedding in Italy isn't difficult because it's Italy. It's difficult because no one explains how the process actually works.
That's why I created Italy Wedding Guide.
Italy Wedding Guide exists to give couples what I wish I'd had at the beginning. Clear guidance, honest insight, and practical next steps before the planner stage.
